• Up for sale is an extremely rare speaker, the Yamaha NS-2000.  If you know what these are, then you don't need to be convinced.  These speakers sound incredible and have been used in my professional music studio - Airship Laboratories - for the last year.    

• They have Beryllium dome midrange and treble drivers that have a fantastically detailed and open sound.  As a tool for analyzing music and source components, they are second to none.  We have had the opportunity to hear many excellent reference monitors, many costing $20,000 or more.   These speakers, made in the early 80's hold their own very well with the top guns (ATC, Barefoot, Adam, Focal)     

• These speakers have been well taken care of, both before, and since I received them. The one modification that has been done to both speakers is that they have been re-veneered. They look great, and the wood matches our studios panels, but they do have a slightly different look than the originals (which some might consider a bonus).  I did not do this myself, it was done to the speakers by a previous owner.      

• The drivers are in good shape, and well matched.  I have done extensive metering and scoping on these speakers to determine the health of the drivers and crossovers.  The bass response, midrange clarity, and fast transients speak to the overall health of the internals.  The crossovers use a 'self-healing' style network and the caps are long lasting and haven't lost any of their spunk (charging capabilities).
