Wall Audio Opus 88 - tube preamp with MM/MC phone stage - former showroom demo unit

This was a showroom demo unit we used for a couple of years. It's on storage which we'll clean out in the next weeks to make room for new deliveries. It is in good physically condition. Over time this unit developed a high noise floor. It might be a tube going bad or something else. It still sounds great but with our high sensitive speakers (around 100dB) the noise is obvious.

We sell this unit as is, NO WARRANT - NO RETURN, hence the low price.   

As a business we have to collect 8% TAX from buyers in California.

Wall Audio is a company in Freiburg, in the south of Germany, making tube amps since more than 30 years and finally available in the US.

The Wall Audio Opus 88 is a great sounding preamp. It delivers a full, rich, lush sound with deep and wide soundstage and great dynamics and speed. The Opus 88 employs altogether 14 tubes. The transformer is externally housed to prevent electromagnetic field interference to the tubes, which is very smart design. Even the rectifier and power supply tubes are separated from the over-dimensioned, cast-in transformer.
