TAD (Technical Audio Devices) REFERENCE One (R1) Loudspeakers

A pair of TAD Reference One loudspeakers in pristine condition. Andrew Jones's opus magnum, state of the art drivers (the beryllium CST driver is simply stunning) and amazing cabinet construction. By many considered some of the best speakers ever made. Incredible refinement, dynamics, lightning-fast transient response, amazing coherence and sounstaging, these speakers sound like live music. Relatively easy to drive, they work great with both solid state and tube amplification. In my system the Berning Quadrature Z's, Dartzeel NHB-108 and Dan D'Agostino's S250 (also for sale) were all a match made in heaven. The high sheen pommele sapele wood finish is gorgeous and the wood grain is well matched between both speakers. The speakers are in pristine condition and come with the original pallets and boxes as well as a special crate (custom made by Craters and Freighters) for secure shipping. They can be picked up in Missoula, MT or can be shipped by freight. The original cones have been misplaced, but I will include a set of Finite Elemente Cerabase Compact footers that work great with the Ref Ones ($1,280 value), a set of aftermarket brass cones/spikes (for thick carpets) and a set of ebony wood round footers that work great on hardwood floors.
