I am also including the Auralex SubDude II isolation platform which perfectly fits this sub for free. This works significantly better than the "isolation feet" DefTech includes with the subwoofer. This little monster will shake your walls without stealing all your floor space. The SC8000 features an 11" active woofer and two 12" passive radiators driven by a 1500watt amplifier. The preset EQ lets you tweak the sound to your material, and you can easily change that, the volume, and the crossover frequency right from your listening position using the remote which makes it much easier to blend the sub with your system. Definitive specs the frequency response of this sub down to 12hz. I haven't tested it that low, but my experience is that it has solid output down to 20hz. Running a 20hz test tone through this baby is eery - things are shaking and vibrating in the room, you can feel the pressure change, but you don't really hear anything. That extra dimension of bass really adds a lot to your home theater. Most "subwoofers" under $1k are incapable of doing this - the SC8000 does it easily! I am selling this sub because I recently moved and now have 10,000+ cuft room that I have to fill with sound, something this sub is not designed to do, so I had to make some major changes to my existing setup including selling this SC8000 to make room for some larger subs.
