Proac Response 3.8 From 1-Owner!

I just came back from the AXPONA high end show in Chicago. Once again I heard dozens of nearly full range speakers for average to smaller sized rooms. Precious few deliver the unforced, beautiful harmonics of the Response 3.8's! The bass and dynamics should satisfy most music lovers. They are easy to drive, but I recommend at least 75 quality watts to bring them to life. Too many speakers made today over reach and simply play hi-fi, not music. My opinion. These are in the desirable premium Yew natural wood veneer, elegant and organic, like their performance. There are some mild marks on them, you need to look fairly close as the color and low luster finish tends to hide the imperfections. When the grills are removed, the typical change in color (behind the grills only) is present. I would rate cosmetics as an 8 minus. The drivers are perfect, as are the speaker's performance. They can be bi-wired if preferred. Special mention must also be made of the sound staging, it is large and naturally 3-d. The original owner bought these when they came out, the purchase was in March of 2000. The original receipt. This speaker has achieved icon status, I encourage you to Google the many positive reviews, forums and blogs out there. I am selling them because I have gone to larger speakers. These are about 51 inches tall, by 8.5 inches wide, by 14 inches deep. I bought Vienna Acoustic Mahler's, which sound very similar, just bigger. They are also near the same age. The original boxes got damaged, so custom modular boxes were made by Fed-Ex for them when they were shipped to me. The metal connectors and jumpers with banana connectors, spikes and floor protectors will also be included. I am charging a Flat Rate shipping cost of $350.
