Up for sale is an eight foot set of cables suitable for bi-wire or shotgun formats. It can be tried in bare wire format which it performs very well as. The wire is so good that anything but the best in high tech terminations is just going to adulterate the sound. This outperforms industry reference standards costing upwards of $10k. It's not a budget cable per se, it doesn't make sense to put anything but the best on the best and still be thousands under what it performs with. $60 WBT locking spades have a slow and muddy character with this wire, I have found way better.
I need to cover a few things on this ad that won't be covered in others. I've sold this here and there over the last ten years or so, it has always gotten tremendous response even compared to cables out to ten grand or so. I am currently setting up to sell DIY cable and terminations with the focus at the higher end. Having access to the best of the bulk and OEM materials from Furutech, Oyeide, Acrolink, and others, I need to make and test a substantial array of bulk wire and different grades of plugs and terminations. I'll be ranking the performance of wire in several categories, and the differences in plugs and terminations as well. My main focus will be on where the performance edges are with combinations of wire and plugs, and I'll focus on several performance to cost points that make sense. I'm on Furutech right now, and it costs thousands of dollars just to get a few meters of the higher end cables and enough terminations to do the comparison work. Once I decide which to sell it has to be bought in bulk spools, and the terminations in amounts that get price breaks.

I have already set up and burned in some bulk power cord cables with very high end plugs and compared it with the military wire with the same exact plugs. So I am already seeing that the military cable performs at least as good as this wire that costs $150 a foot. I am going to continue to sell it at the $25 a foot that I have been selling it for, and that is cryo treated and conditioned with a cable burner to about 90% of it's broken in state. I cannot emphasize enough that the price of this cable will be going up to close to the level it performs at compared to other bulk high end cables. That will come close to doubling the price, get it at this price while you can.

I am finding out something important about terminations, although I still have things to try. Soldering seemingly destroys the sound of this cable, just silver soldering the ends of bare wire trashed the tonal balance to where it's garbage. I have some things I'm still trying, but from what I can hear crimping or using terminations that have screw contacts is the way to go.

My recommendation here is that you try bare wire to see what you think. This allows you to try bire wire options such as bi-wire how it is connected at the amp. If you like the way the cable sounds there are a couple of custom configurations I do that you don't see very often. High tech bananas or spades can actually improve the sound by damping outside interference at the vulnerable termination point where there is no jacket and shielding. The bi-wire option I like is to take the double run out to the speaker, and hard wire a jumper into the first termination to go over to the other binding posts. The setup that lets you see how this will work is to connect both at the amp together and run one each to the two speaker binding posts. The other thing is that it's easier to offer a money back trial if custom terminations are done that I'll have a hard time selling.

This set of wire has been cryo treated, and will be seasoned on a cable cooker for several days, which gets you close to being fully as good as they will get. I just bought really nice wire stripping and precision wire cutters, so I can strip the ends for you, this is trickier than you would think. I have charged between $40 and $60 to do it in the past, but I would rather make sure it's done right.

I have always sold this with a money back guarantee, and have never had anyone ask for their money back. Shipping will be $12.00 for priority, I've been finding that it is costing more so that's a good price. Feel free to call me, I like to know what people have going on because there are systems that may have different applications or a need to be set up with terminations. Often I will let someone pay for a set and will let them use a set I have on hand and then make them exactly what they want once they have tried them.

As a last note I recently was dealing with someone who seemed to know what he wanted, and balked at paying over a thousand dollars based on trust issues. That was a first, when I was a dealer I sold items out to twenty thousand and systems that were tens of thousands. I've been on Audiogon for close to ten years, and sold Balanced Audio Technology, Meadowlark, and Belles products to name a few. I have never had issues of trust, ever. My direct number is 530-957-0966. I can run credit cards through my wife's veterinary clinic, and money can be returned with no adverse affects to her credit card company as long as the proper procedure is followed. Someone rescinding a payment would cause her rates and terms to change, so she has asked that I make sure nobody does that. I am running other ads for power cord runs and interconnects, and am currently setting up a set of balanced interconnects with this wire and Furutech's best balanced bulk wire. This wire performs way beyond it's price point, and does it in a neutral and balanced way.

Please do not use the automatic checkout system, I do not have the ability to use Paypal nor will I ever.

Special Conditions

Since cables go through a break in period I expect that they be given the chance to be used for a couple hundred hours. Also soldering ends or terminations can radically alter the neutral character of the cable. If it takes longer than 30 days to give them a fair chance I will still honor my money back guarantee.
