John Tucker modified Oppo 105D Darbee Edition
I've been buying John's sources since he modified a Denon 2900. I've owned his modified Denon, his modified Xindac, and now his modified Oppo. The *only* reason I'm selling is to get his new modified Oppo 205. Even at the new price, this thing is a steal and bests sources costing 4x as much.

Separate High performance Shunt Regulated Power Supplies. One for the stereo ESS 9018 DAC and the other for the multi-channel ESS 9018 DAC. The Shunt Regulated Power Supplies replace the stock series regulators for improved performance for all audio outputs (stereo unbalance (RCA) outputs, stereo balanced (XLR) outputs and all unbalanced (RCA) multi-channel outputs, 8 each).
Unbalanced and balanced I-to-V (current-to-voltage) converters are biased into Class-A operation and individually shunt regulated.
Standard unbalanced RCA connectors replaced with high quality connectors.
True universal player (CD, SACD, DVD-Audio, Blu-ray Disc) as well as DAC and network server all in one unit. Retains all features of the stock Oppo BDP-105. See Oppo's web site for more information.
Fanless operation.
Remote control with 100 step volume control allows the Expo 105 to directly drive amplifiers for simplicity and high performance.
Separate outboard power supply for the tube output stage. The player has a captive 1m DC umbilical cable for connection to the external power supply.
Unbalanced two-channel tube output stage uses two 6922 family of tubes and proprietary high-performance shunt regulator.

| Is your 7/10 rating for any marks or scratches on the units? Any issues? Do you have the original boxes? I have the original box for the 105D. I don't have an original box for the custom outboard PSU.
There is a small scratch on the left side near one of the screws and a tiny one on the left side of front top edge (viewable in the photo).
