Comparable to the well known Esoteric-based APL HiFi NWO-M players, this reference DAC-M Digital Audio Converter shares a similar topology while achieving even better sound quality than the NWO-M.

The asking price includes 1year factory limited warranty (30 days for the tubes) as offered by Alex Peychev of APL Hi-Fi, Ltd. A one year factory warranty is typical on new equipment but unusual and likely non-existent for used equipment sales between Audiophiles. The one year warranty for this DAC-M is a valuable bonus from APL HiFi.

This DAC-M is in excellent cosmetic and working condition and sounds simply wonderful. Superb detail, imaging, depth, air – all the adjectives that describe something very special. It must be heard!

I am the first and only owner of this DAC-M and it has less than 300 hours of use. How do I know this? To keep track of tube usage I log each disc I play and consider each one an hour in length. Some are more, others less. I have 232 discs logged into my ledger (just little check marks) so less than 300 hours is a good estimate.

- Industry standard digital input receiver by Cirrus Logic accepting up to 192kHz/24bit. - USB input based on XMOS chipset accepting up to 192kHz/24bit. No driver needed for Mac and Linux OS. Regardless of the input sample rates, the D/A converters always work at 195kHz/32bit. - Famous AK4399 D/A conversion devices by AKM working in Mono mode. Specially developed Class-A operation of the AK4399 analog output stage greatly reduces distortions. - Since every AK4399 contains 4 D/A converters, the total count is 20 paralleled D/A converters per channel for improved signal to noise ratio and contributing to a richer sound quality. - Differential Class-A tube output stage with vintage E182CC tubes by Philips and custom Lundahl output transformers wound with OFC wire. - All-handmade boutique with OFC internal wiring for power supply and digital/analog signal paths. - If necessary, the unit can be converted for 230V operation by the factory in Europe.
