Unless a person is familiar with the REL sub-bass systems most folks never realize how much music they are missing. Sound stage is enhanced, music has more air and warmth with deep solid bass foundation. Even full-range speaker systems benefit from a great REL sub. All the time this sub has been in my system, with many visitors and even other audiophiles, no one ever guessed it was a sub as it looks like a nice expensive piece of furniture.
