Instead, I see the Nova appealing to the serious but sensible audiophile who wants to get the most out of his CD collection, desires a product that is distinctively styled and built more substantially than most of what’s on the market. 

It gets you almost all of the way there sonically and offers superb build quality. You certainly don’t have to be crazy to buy a Nova. The Simaudio Moon Nova is a luxury good that retains commonsense appeal, and for many, it may well be the last CD player they’ll own.
