Joule Electra VZN-100 MK-V Musicwood- REDUCED! Great deal.

I had Joule Electra build/customize these amplifiers special for me (XLR inputs and special Musicwood). They are the MKV version (with the rare green boards which are absolutely the quietest and best sounding VZN-100 amps). They have XLR-balanced and RCA-single ended inputs as well as input mute switch. These are the custom wood chassis version called MusicWood which was an expensive but worthwhile option both sonically and visually. These were made to order in a really beautiful curly Maple. Platforms shown in photos are not available...I sold those separately.  

Tubes are all in very good condition and the output tubes were replaced about 12 months ago. These tubes seem to last a very long time (I've been getting 4 years or so on a set). Tubes are not expensive and are not hard to source. Output tubes do not need to be closely matched as each tube has it's own bias adjustment.

Besides the individual bias adjustments for each output tube, the amps each have a feedback/damping control, front end balancing, etc. You can really dial these babies in to really lock in with your speakers. They do tend to sound best with speakers that don't have a really low impedance curve. The 100 watt output per channel drives most speakers extremely well.

Few VZN-100 amps were built with balanced inputs....I had Jud do this special for me. Took some arm twisting! This gives extra flexibility if you have a balanced pre-amp.

The sound? Incredible bloom, rich body, dynamic, fast...yet natural and musical. No amps I have heard convey the sense of space like these amps do. Very fleshed out sound, incredibly involving.

I'm located near Minneapolis and welcome the buyer to come and listen and pick them up (I might be willing to meet closer to you) or I can certainly pack them very well for shipping. I'll use heavy duty foam lined plastic containers for the amps.

These are extremely well cared for and are in fantastic condition, no dings or scratches on the amp chassis at all. If you have never owned Joule OTL amps you really should experience it....there is nothing quite like it in terms of a rich, holographic, involving sound.
