Clearwave Symphonia 7R Accuton + RAAL monitors

They are just as breathtaking in looks as they are in sound.  The hand rubbed piano finish ($1200 upcharge, on top of $4695 base price) and Macassar Ebony wood ($525) make this easily the most visually stunning monitor I've ever come across.  The fit and finish is really tight on these.  If my aunt's Rolls Royce Wraith came with a pair of speakers (instead of a fancy umbrella) I think this would be the pair.  They are HEAVY and the polish is PERFECT.  Except there are a few scratches on the underside from being on stands.

As for the sound, well...Accuton and Raal.  Two of the most advanced and revealing drivers available today.  And the integration is seamless.  The crossover is of the highest quality and simplicity.  You will be surprised by the bass output these speakers are capable of if given the right amplification.  I got best results from JOB amp and new Hypex.  Icepower also delivered good bass but didn't produce as robust a midrange.  When I paired these speakers with the JOB 225 and a Tortuga LDR passive preamp the sound was as crystal clear and startlingly real as I've ever heard.  Everybody who came over commented on the goosbump-inducing live quality.  There are just no perceivable artifacts or distortion with these.  The sound is just crystalline...

These speakers will put the musicians in the room.  It is downright spooky at times.  My gf doesn't want to see them go (so you know they're fun, right?).  If they don't sell I'll put them in storageunitl we have the space again.

These would normally rate a 9 easily but I gave them an 8 since I'm not the original owner.  They look absolutely perfect (except for the aforementioned scratches on underside).

Due to a recent grill indentation I went ahead and had both drivers replaced with new ones from Clearwave (600 smackers) so you'll actually be getting even newer drivers than original.  But these speakers are only a few years old.
