As new dealer demo with full manufacturer's warranty. Simply stunning visual design with a smoked translucent front panel, and laser engraved brushed aluminum top and side panels. Non-Oversampling (NOS) R-2R Resistor Ladder DAC using the legendary Analog Devices AD1862N-J chip (2x).
MHDT Labs is one of the under the radar gems in the hi-fi manufacturing industry. Their extremely musical sounding tube buffered NOS R-2R DAC's are among the very best values in today's high-performance digital playback arena.
The Atlantis DAC is capable of up to 24bits/192kHz digital signal input, and incorporates the legendary Analog Devices AD1862 DAC chip in it's R-2R digital to analog output design.
Asynchronous USB input section, and three additional digital inputs; BNC, Coax RCA and Toslink.
The 4 digital inputs are independent to each other, controlled by tact switches on front panel.
If you are a "sound first" hobbyist, the sonics of the DAC will blow your mind at this price point. A truly realistic, yet very natural sounding DAC.
This consumer review from Super Audio Best Friends sums things up perfectly:
"Oh my goodness this is lovely! 15 minutes in and the MHDT Labs Atlantis is already delivering beautiful euphony directly to my soul. Instruments sound downright real, timbre is excellent, detail is not at all wanting. Liquid, organic, yet detailed. Slightly warm sound with amazing bass delivery and perfectly silky smooth treble. Mids are ....really lovely....
Zero grain. It's the first setup I've had at work that has anywhere near as little grain as my Audio-GD Master-11 at home. I hate grain. I also hate harsh treble and roughness in general. This setup doesn't have any of that."
