These 803Ds are in excellent condition. I am the original owner. They are first generation B&W diamond tweeter. In addition they have the FST midrange driver, a Kevlar construction that is very successful at blending stiffness and rigidity with a high inherent damping factor. There's also the Rohacell bass driver, which sandwiches an 8-millimeter piece of polymethacrylimide (i.e., hard-foam) material between two layers of carbon fiber for a beneficial blend of weight and mechanical properties with heat resistance. They also have the famous B&W cabinets, with the distinctive, separate tweeter housing. This design helps reduce cabinet diffraction and time smearing.
I purchased the pair (together with a B&W HTM2D which I am also selling) for a home theater. I now use them for an every day TV set up and they are overkill for that purpose. This is the reason I'm selling them. I currently have them paired with a Mcintosh 303 amp and it's a beautiful combination.
I have the original boxes, packing material, and accessories.
