DMC-30SC line stage preamplifier, unbalanced connections.
So new that does not come up on the menu. Practically brand new, has about 50 hrs on it, hardly broken in. White glove use.
Comes with appropriate high end MIT (ul-230/2 meters, unbalanaced) cables. MSRP around 12k. Asking $8,500, that includes the necessary MIT cable (over $2,000 value as well) .
Cashier's check, shipping paid by buyer (quick shipping available to receive before holidays)
Pictures follow.
For clarification: This is a DMC-30SC. I had to use a drop down list of Spectral preamps that did not contain the 30SC.
Questions for the seller |

Serial number? 31085
Will attach 2 more pics. It is on the bottom of the unit.
Thank you for the good catch!
Happy New Year! |
I’m a little confused I thought the “sc” was the non balanced version of the “sv” thank you! You are correct. It is unbalanced. |
There’s balanced input and output connectors on the back panel in the uploaded photos. Do not those balanced input and output connectors work? Could you please explain the meaning of non balanced version? I was puzzled myself with the dealer, I might say as well...so I called the Spectral factory. According to Spectral, it has only XLR plugs, but no balanced circuit availability. It was designed with the cost of the unit in mind. They said it cannot be upgraded to balanced/XLR due to cost/benefit.
I had no meaningful response when asked why than the unit show balanced/XLR connections. |
And it has theater bypass on input 3 I’m looking to upgrade from dmc 30 series 2 Sorry, just came back from Europe. Read your question, but I have no immediate information regarding this.
I would need to [filtered] the factory to find out. Generally the way I understand that the bypass turns off unnecessary things like bass, treble control. In this case according to my best knowledge, there is nothing to really turn off in the path of the signal...but might be wrong.
Better you [filtered] Spectral and get straight answers
