Audio Research Reference 10

For sale: an Audio Research Corporation Reference 10 Preamplifier that is in mint condition.  No scratches, dents or any other signs of wear and tear.  This is one of the best preamplifiers on the market.  I've owned many and non have come close to the outstanding performance of this two chassis beauty, including the ARC Anniversary 40.  I had the ARC 40th and trade it in for this preamp.  I honestly thought that there wasn't a better pre than the ARC 40th until I heard the ARC Ref 10.  Admittedly for $30k it should be.
After 900 hours on my Ref 10 one of the 6H30's started to hum a bit so I replaced all the tubes in both the power supply chassis and audio chassis with original tubes sourced from ARC.  These new tubes have 310 hours use (the Ref 10 tracks tube hours).  There is only one downside with the 40th and this Ref. 10 - it's the break-in period.  ARC says it takes 500 hours to break-in.  It actually takes at least 750 hours. The coupling capacitors take forever to settle in, but the wait and patience is more than rewarded.  So, in short, this preamp is fully broken in.  It's awesome: an incredibly expansive soundstage, quark-deep detail, the transient speed of solid state with the real life mids and the ability to fully flesh-out the deepest bass.  This pre will not disappoint.
I'm looking to simplify my system with a high-end integrated.  I want to find a good home for this very special pre before I do.  I cannot rate it as a 10/10 on Audiogon because it is more than a year old.
