For sale is my Audio Reseach DAC-9 in Black. It was purchased in Dec of 2016 and I am the original owner and I have included the receipt from an authorized ARC dealer here in Dallas. It's in pristine condition and will be in the original box with packing material and includes the remote and owners manual. At the selling price I am including shipping in CONTUS and will pay the paypal fees. The reason I'm selling it is because I moved up to the EMM Labs DA2 Reference which at $25,000 it should be better. In the $7500 price range it is competitive with everything and sounds better than most. At just under $5k it is a real bargain. Tubes have only 673 hours on them so they have quite a ways to go yet but the capacitors have passed the 600 hours of break in so the unit is fully broken in and sounds great. Everyone will have their favorite setting but I preferred the upsampled setting with the slow filter but in different systems you may prefer something else. Below is from the ARC website about the DAC-9 ...

The DAC9 digital-to-analog converter decodes most current formats with state-of-the-art vacuum tube technology. Five digital connections - USB, RCA, BNC, AES/EBU, and Toslink - provide connectivity to all of your digital sources. Quad DAC architecture provides a balanced digital signal, wide dynamic range, and decoding resolutions from red book CD up to 384 kHz and native DSD sampling rates. A pair of 6H30 vacuum tubes are the heart of the analog circuit. Both balanced and single-ended connectors are provided for output connectivity. Native-rate upsampling and selectable digital filters allow customization of the digital signal.
