Revel Concerta C-12 Center, Black, SF Area

The Concerta C-12, as a center speaker, naturally doesn't get a lot of individual press. However, if you google "bestcovery revel c12" you will find they say "the realism conveyed by the C12's combination of a wide open sonic image and tonal accuracy is hard to contest.  …  …  the Revel C12 delivers a level of realism and accuracy that is at its best accompanied by a large 1080p screen and BluRay

Also, if you google the somewhat awkward phrase ' soundandvision "the similarly priced revel concerta c12" ', the B&W theater setup reviewer states "When I substituted the similarly priced Revel Concerta C12 for the B&W HTM61, the soundstage and clarity opened up considerably. In fact I lived with that setup for a couple of weeks as I reviewed other gear and movies on the system".

The Concerta Series (overall) was awarded an "Editor's Choice" by Sound & Vision. Also in 2005, the overall Concerta Series was awarded "Product of the Year" Award by Electronic House. So the C-12 travels in good company.

Personally, I felt my center channel improved significantly when I adopted the C-12 as a mate to my Revel F208's. Interestingly, the C-12 is a sealed, non-ported 4 driver design featuring two 6 1/2" woofers providing good low frequency response. The critical mid-range is handled by a 4" driver that is housed within its own sub-enclosure, while the high frequencies are handled by a 1" OCC dome tweeter. Sensitivity is 90 db.

The C-12, $600 when new, is in black ash and has been lightly used.

I’m rating it "7" based primarily on age. To the eye, they are essentially flawless.

The speaker itself is about 21"w x 10.5"d x 9.5"h.
