The 802 D3 delivers pristine, high-performance sound in any environment! The 802 D3 delivers breathtakingly revealing audio across the entire sound spectrum. Its Diamond tweeter partners with a Continuum cone to ensure a revealing natural sound that will leave you speechless.
If you are looking for stunning realism, then the 802 D3 is the loudspeaker for you. The beneficiary of all the technical innovation the new 800 Series Diamond has to offer – from the innovative Turbine head and Continuum cone to the radical new plinth design – at home or in the studio, it will reveal depth and detail in music you never knew existed.
Reimagining an Icon: The 800 Series isn’t just another speaker range. For decades, it’s served as the benchmark for high-end audio performance. So, when B&W set out to create the new 800 Series Diamond, they went back to the drawing board, embarking on one of the most ambitious research and development projects they have ever undertaken.
The 800 Series Diamond is a game-changer in terms of technological innovation. From drive units to cabinet geometry, every major component has been rethought and reinvented. And the rulebook for loudspeaker design has been ripped up and rewritten in the process. The future of loudspeaker technology starts here.
Note: The info from B&W states: "Ideally you should be seated with your ear level at the tweeter height plane (broadly speaking). Distance to the speaker: roughly 2.5 times the tweeter height (measured from the floor) to the ear as a minimum distance. However, I adjusted the toe-in by ear. It seemed ideal when the tweeter axes crossed about 18" behind my head.
So on an 802 D3 the tweeter height is roughly 120cm to the center of the diaphragm to the floor. Multiply by 2.5 and you get 300cm or 3m (9ft 10in)."

Questions for the seller |
---|
are you a Dealer? There are multiple speakers in the room you took the photos Thanks for your interest.
I’m a designer with equipment from clients on retainer that have shelved or drastically changed their projects to the point that makes it more practical to sell off some of their equipment.
In summary, like all designers in AV/control integration I purchase from AV authorized dealers on behalf of clients and ultimately place their name and contact info on installation date (in this case sale date) for warranty purposes.
I wanted to reach a broader audience on diverse platforms here on Audiogon and Craigslist, apart from my established history on eBay.
