Up for sale is a rare pair of Linn Klimax Solo 500 monoblock power amplifiers in the latest version with Dynamik Power Supplies. In contrast, we also have pair of Klimax Solo 500 Non-Dynamik power that sell for less and if they could be upgraded to Dynamik Power would cost another $7,000 for the work and shipping to Glasgow Scotland for several weeks. Linn no longer offers an upgrade for non-Dynamik Solo 500 amps.
This pair for sale is in mint condition from a single owner, and have been cared for in white-glove fashion only fed the best conditioned power in a private listening room. This is a complete package with all original packaging and accessories. Less than 1 year remains on the 5 year warranty, so you do have some protection remaining.
The sound is indescribable because the Linn Solo 500 Dynamik is in a league of its own, producing a vivid highly detailed picture of the music while gripping a powerful control with dynamics from top to bottom. This is truly world class and the type of amplifiers you keep for life.

| What is the difference in sound quality (tonal balance, transients in mid/highs) between the Dynamik and non-Dynamik versions? Are you a Linn dealer? The $7000 upgrade price is excessive and suggests that out of warranty repair fees are likewise. Can they be done by a local competent tech? Thanks. Dynamik has much more grip on the bass, is more reviling with emense details and is more open and liquid on the mids and highs. You can have longer listening sessions played louder and not fatigue.

The $7,000 upgrade is what most owners happily paid and set by Linn in terms of cost. I don’t recall any discounts given on the price. Every owner I spoke to who did the upgrade loved what it did. One it improved on many dimensions and two Linn gave an additional warranty because of the new parts added.
The upgrade is no longer available and it can’t be done locally. From what I know it requires new parts and machining the chassis.
