Up for sale is a pair of Piega P10 speakers. These are beautiful, rare, world-class speakers.
"The Piega P10 is every bit a reference standard speaker regardless of price point. In comparison to some $20,000 and even $25,000 speakers, the Piega P10 held its own very well. The P10 is a hybrid speaker of sorts. It has two 8″ cone drivers that provides the bass, a mid-range ribbon and two ribbon tweeters – one firing from the front and another from the rear. Speakers also have two rear ports so placement must be well cleared from the rear wall to allow the air that is being pushed out by the bass drivers and also the signal coming out from the rear tweeter. Once you have positioned them properly, you will be astounded by the level of detail it produces. They are simply remarkable sounding speakers. Bass was quick and dynamic with a rich mid-range and extended highs. Music was very cleanly produced and transparent and soundstage was wide with good depth."
This pair is in the optional piano black finish, original retail $12,000. The speakers are in fair to good condition. Some snags on the grills, some scratching on the sides. I've been told the speakers can be touched up, but I've not bothered. From several feet away they look fine; quite stunning. They operate perfectly and sound great. I used them for a number of years with a Symphonic Line Kraftquelle integrated with great results. They like a bit of power. They're difficult to photograph because of the reflection off the shiny piano black finish.
No boxes, so this will need to be a local pick-up or meet up in the greater Boston area.
