The Heathkit TT-1 is one of the few top tier tube testers ever made. It is on the level of the Triplett 3444 (which I've owned) and Hickock 539 series testers.
The tester itself has a remarkably well-preserved meter, top plate, knobs and switches. It was restored/recalibrated in June 2015 by Bud Allen of CG Industries in Florida. Bud specializes in the restoration/calibration of Heathkit TT-1 and Triplett 3444 testers (I also bought my Triplett 3444 from him). He added plate current jacks and included an information sheet explaining their value. My Heathkit TT-1 is in a wooden case that Bud sent to a local craftsman who added a nice, durable cloth-like cover and new hinges/etc. My TT-1 is in heirloom cosmetic condition. Please see the pictures.
I've used this tester for 10 hours at most since restoration/recalibration , and it is as I received it back from Bud. His service is good for 5000 hours service life.
Please review Bud's Audiogon feedback (glassandlight) to see that he has many satisfied customers. My pictures also show helpful supplemental sheets Bud sent me along with nice copies of the operational manual and the final edition of the tester's Tube Data" (used for both my TT-1 and the TT-1A).
Insured shipping is a flat $50.
