Clearaudio Synchro Power Generator. Provides a rock steady 60 HZ (for U.S., 50 Hz for other countries) frequency to lock the speed of any turntable using an a.c. synchronous motor to 33 1/3 or 45 rpm. Can switch between 33 & 45 at the push of a button. Furthermore the frequency output of the Synchro does not vary, like that coming from you electric company, so your turntable rotates at an incredibly constant speed improving the sound quality rather dramatically. All musical sounds are much clearer when the platter is not varying in speed as it turns. Turntables that use a.c. synchronous motors include all those made by Clearaudio, Basis, VPI, and many others. This unit is not the Clearaudio Smart Synchro which does not have a readout on the front panel. This slightly older Synchro has a readout that can be switched to read output voltage or output frequency. Also, available separately are the Clearaudio Strobe Speed Test Record and Speed Strobe Light that are used to calibrate the Synchro and accurately adjust speed. Complete with owners manual and original box & packing. Will double box. Will ship internationally, but I reserve the right to limit the countries that I ship to.
