ModWright Truth Modified Transporter REDUCED. with OS tubes.

WiFi/Ethernet music streamer and internet radio player with Dan Wright's outstanding modifications. He does not just swap in some boutique parts and call it a day. I bought this unit new, direct from Dan Wright, who is a pleasure to deal with. The ModWright version is a substantial upgrade adding an oversized toroidal transformer and a complete re-design of the analog output stage. The tube output stage features an internal, tube rectified power supply based on the technology from ModWright preamplifiers. RCA and balanced outputs are now sourced from the new analog stage. The balanced outputs utilize custom wound output transformers from Electroprint. The RCA output connectors are upgraded from stock. The output stage produces output levels sufficient to drive most amplifiers directly without a pre-amp.

It has digital inputs (coax, toslink and AES/EBU) and outputs, balanced and single ended analog outputs, and an external clock input. Uses the AKM AK4396 multi-bit delta-sigma DAC. All you need to do is download Logitech Media Server to your PC and you are ready to get into computer audio. Updated with Tidal interface. Includes original remote, 6SN7 adapters (otherwise uses 6FG7/6CG7, 6BG7, 6BQ7, or 6N1P 9-pin output tubes), and a spare face plate with the fluorescent display. The display went dark about 10 months ago, so I bought another. When that did not do the trick, I brought it to my technician. He did a complete run-through and re-did the power supply with upgraded capacitors. It now works like it did when I got it from Dan. Rated 7/10 due to a few minor dings from servicing and swapping out output tubes, but looks terrific. I will include OS rectifier and output tubes.
