For sale is a the famous Technics SP-10 Mk II direct-drive turntable that has been gone through electrically, mechanically and aesthetically. It really doesn’t get much better than this.
This particular SP-10 has recently (2017) been overhauled by Dan Santoni. Work included - complete power supply restoration, motor overhaul and repainting of the chassis. In addition, the piano black plinth was purchased from Austria (2016) and accommodates two tonearms (9-12’ and 9’ ). Four (!) original arm boards are included . One armband is pre-drilled for the Jelco 750LB (12’’) but the other three are blank, so you can mount any of your own arm choices. All in all, completion of this restoration project had markedly elevated the performance of this already great turntable.
Condition can be conservatively described as 10/10 mechanically and 7/10 cosmetically. Some swirls in the finish and a small nick on the left top corner near the back. On the table itself, the Technics emblem is missing and there is a small ding just behind where the emblem would be. All are apparent in the images, but you're welcome to inspect in person.
