This is a one of a Kind Preamp. I had called Coda Looking for a CL or CP pre. This is a CL preamp circuit inside the case of a Windows Continuum 4 case. The problem is that the 3 input jacks labels on the rear do not match the input selector on the front, all others match. Other than that this pre is a joy to use. It Has a nice feature of being able to adjust gain on each input independently of each other. So, it looks like a windows 4, but functions and sounds like a CL>> It came with a CL manual and a letter from Doug Dale explaining that you need a CL manual rather than a Windows 4 manual because of the features. Includes Balanced Inputs & single ended inputs and outputs. The front & rear are a solid 8 in condition, but I have had equipment stacked on top, so there are scuffs on top, I have rated it a 7. The CL/CP (CL = Line CP = Phono) are excellent preamps, Imaging, soundstage, smoothness, detail all punch well above its price point and on the used market at a price like this, a No Brainer. Read what I have said myself about this pre, I really have loved it. I've toyed with selling it before, but couldn't let it go. https://forum.audiogon.com/discussions/should-i-switch-preamps Someone will enjoy this. I am replacing it with a SST Ambrosia. Purchase at the price listed and I will include shipping and paypal fees, No Surprises. Tim
Questions for the seller |

I have a windows 4 with blue display.Said it one of the windows 4,that was like 10 yes ago. I had a win 1 which had the red display. Anyway they are superb to say least. That's a good price and with Coda by far one of the best companies around. Hi Coffeey, yes we discussed this when I got it about 7 or 8 years ago. I had thought that the windows 4 and CL were the same circuitry, but Doug at Coda straightened me out. This is the last case that they had for a Windows 4, so they put the CL board in it. That is why the inputs don't match the front selectors. I have really enjoyed this pre. I hope that I don't regret selling it. I suspect that it'll sell very soon. Thanks, Tim |
