Gingko Audio Clara Vu Model 7 Mk 2 Black with Powered Sub Modules

PLEASE NOTE: I made a mistake in the title/listing heading. The speakers for sale here are actually the Model 7 MK 3 (not Mk 2).

PLEASE NOTE #2: I am taking these to AXPONA Apr 13, 14 and 15 for display and playing in Rm 1524, Gingko Audio Room, where we will also be displaying and comparing the different models of the Denafrips DACs. If you are attending, please come by and hear what you would get if you bought these.

Rare and hard to find these on the pre-owned market. Demo model. One owner. Approximately 5 yrs old (I don't know how long they were demos). Excellent condition. Really versatile connection capabilities. Separate Monitor and powered Sub Modules for each channel, connected via umbilical/jumpers. You can connect via typical speaker cables in a variety of configurations or via line level RCA cable from the pre-amp. I have used these for several years and have really appreciated the full range musical sound.

Functioning as intended. Cosmetically fine except for one small ding on the right corner, top rear edge of one of the monitors. Results in a small white spot. See photo 4. This is the only reason for the 8/10 rating. Otherwise it would be 9/10.

On the powered Sub modules, you can connect via the usual speaker cables or via RCA IC from the pre-amp. I found the best connection (in my system--yours may vary) to be the speaker wires to the Monitor Module , then connect to the Sub Module via the jumpers

Also you can adjust volume, phase and crossover on the Sub Module. See the Gingko Audio website for a full description of the technology involved.

Speakers come in original packing and double boxing, with adjustable spike sets and stock power cords (for the powered Sub Modules) Also included are the jumpers shown in the photos, which are DanaCable Onyx, 12".

REMEMBER, THERE ARE 4 BOXES, so be sure to enter that into the calculation. This UPS estimate is more consistently accurate than the A-gon estimate. Not sure why the A-gon estimate is sometimes off, but it is. local pick up can be arranged.
