I'm the original owner of these Spendor SP2/3R2 Classic Stereo Speakers purchased in October of 2016. They are in Excellent condition, with original boxes and manuals.
On one of the speakers, the knobs that hold the grill in place have broken off. The grills were only removed a couple of times, and I was very careful. They were just weak. I have replaced the broken knobs with velcro which can be seen in the photos. With the grills on there is no visible sign of the problem. If you prefer to keep the grills removed, then you can easily remove the velcro.
