The ET5 embodies much of the technology found in Conrad Johnson's statement preamplifier, the GAT, in a more cost effective implementation.
The circuitry of the CJ ET5 follows closely that of the CJ GAT. An audio amplifier stage consisting of a single-ended amplifier provides the voltage gain. This amplifier stage is connected to the preamplifier outputs through a high current MOSFET buffer which achieves a very low output Input Impedance making the ET5 extremely flexible in the choice of amplifiers and interconnect cables.
