For sale is a Berkeley Audio Design Alpha DAC Series 2. This unit is well cared for and I have had no issues with it.  Selling since I got the more financially draining Reference. It is a factory Series 2 (not upgrade) originating from a Texas dealer.
The unit supports up to 24 bit depth at 192Khz sampling rate.  The 24 bit audio sound is stunning and highly recommended.
This product was an editor's choice in TAS which cited "exceptional resolution, timbral purity, and dynamics". This model remains one of the best buys in audio as also noted in TAS, and it competes easily with other makers costing 2-3 times as much.
Will rate VG to be conservative.
One of the big pluses is using the variable line out with the BADA built in volume control.  Where you use only digital input sources, this avoids the need for a preamp, saving additional money and improving transparency to say the least.
Inputs are coax SPDIF, AES and optical Toslink. For RCA SPDIF out from you source, use an adapter cable. Although BADA lacks USB due to audio quality design choice, you can easily input USB sources through a Blu-Ray player without spending a lot of money. I used an OPPO 105 (seen in the picture) with great success, no loss of audio quality even for streaming audio from Ethernet. It's all about the buffering. :-)
Original box (still looking for it), manual, remote and A/C cord.
