Pass Labs X-250.5 - Reference Stereo Amplifier

We brought this amplifier in as a bit of an experiment.  It was previously owned by Neil Young (yup, the one you're thinking of).  We thought, if a guy who's into hi-end audio like Neil... who has the resources he has, is using PASS amps, there had to be something to them.  Long story..we're now a PASS dealer and are absolutely thrilled.  This X250.5 quickly replaced our monster Bryston 14B3 and everything Levison and Krell in our demo systems.  It didn't just sound better, it dominated in control, authority, weight, tightness,resolution, detail and dynamics.  In most cases it was actually a smaller amp, power-wise, but it played louder and with better bottom end!  The 250.5 has got to be one of the best value amplifiers on the planet.  Performance rivals amps costing many times more, its handles EVERYTHING with absolute authority and never flinches with even huge loads and high volumes.  (Whew...Take a breath here and calm down).  You get the picture.  Read some reviews and you'll see stuff like, " Pass Labs X250.5, at $8,250 retail, is not only a bargain but quite possibly the greatest high-end deal that can be had today."

As far as we know it was used in a home studio.  Pretty sure Mr. Young purchased it new so, you'll be the 2nd owner (if you don't count a dealer in between).  It's got some dings here and there on the fins, but most are small.  The face has some scuff and bumps but nothing you can see without getting close.  It does work flawlessly and sounds better than you'll expect...we'll guarantee this.
