Fulton Musical Industries Fulton MC-1 step-up

Fulton MC-1 step-up transformer (for MC  phono cartridge).  This is a very rare, and collectible item of American audio history. It was made by legendary audio designer Bob Fulton of Fulton Musical Industries. He died too soon but he was very well-known for his hi-end audio gears during 80s, you can find some of his items around here in Ebay. Fulton gears are not only wonderful pieces of audio equipment, they are also rare and collectible. 

Sonically this moving coil transformer is very good sounding, extremely detail and transparent with wide soundstage. Especially the bass is  very thick and solid, which you may never find in transformer nowadays.

This transformer was reviewed in Audio Magazine in 1982. So far I only saw only one similar item advertised and sold once on Audiogon (for US$520).  Note that my transformer and the transformer previously sold on Audiogon are different ones. Mine is much newer (I’d rate 9/10 new) and have different decal label design. I emailed the Audiogon seller of the previous Fulton MC-1, asking more information about this gear. The seller said that his MC-1 was better than Rothwell ones, and on pair with some of the Newmann transformer that he had. I don’t have those gears to compare, so this is for reference only.
