Quad ESL-57 Mint, rebuilt, with case

If you've been looking for the perfect pair of Quad ESL-57's, these are it: serial numbers place their production date in the early 80's. They were completely disassembled, frames and interior components painted white, Kent McColum at Electrostatic Solutions did all the upgrades and assembly. I added solid maple "spider legs" with two sets of middle legs to dial in pitch. And, of course, I purchases custom-made covers from a wonderful seamstress in ... Russia! Top it off with the massive roadie case with custom-made inserts to securely hold the speakers for shipping.

This is my eighth pair of Quad ELS's (five pairs of 57's and two pairs of 63's). Except for one pair (done by the "other guy" and which is now en route to Kent at ESS to repair and fix) all upgrades have been done by Electrostatic Solutions - the only outfit that does reputable, professional, great work. No, Kent is not related to me.

This particular pair of 57's was upgraded by Kent in 2016 and has been used in rotation with many of the best amps for Quad 57's: from a Bedini 25/25 to various Futtermans, Mark Levinson ML-2's and everything in-between. Never abused, never over-driven. Always covered when not in use and stored in a humidity-regulated room.  I've sold two other pairs of ESL-57's on eBay and USAudioMart and the all-positive feedbacks tell the story.
