Liquidating all excess gear. This is a stunning looking turntable and an amazing sounding turntable that would run above $5000 today and sounds all bit the part. I am blown away at the SQ and would not sell except I use 12" arms and agreed with wife to sell off excess. Local pick up free but also have all original packing for shipping. Shipping at buyers cost.
****NO TONEARM OR CARTRIDGE INCLUDED****
Info from original owner: Sota STAR/Sapphire African Rosewood with Inlay Finish Had this upgraded 5 years ago by Sota on the below with maybe 100 hours. Zirconium bearing disc replacement Spring assembly replacement Series V sub chassis Series V motor assembly Series V mat assembly Series V platter block assembly and platter damping Vacuum table Sota reflex clamp and Composite arm board cut for Origin live. These mods came over $3000. I personally have not heard a better table for this price and I have had over 50 tables in this insanity. This really holds its own with anything out there (within reason). It is reference quality with the right arm and cartridge.
Aftermarket clear plexi cover included.
I bought this table because my system was upstairs and found that I could walk across the room or a door being slammed with out any changes to the music.
You say right 100 hours!!! Started surfing about 6 years ago and my life choices have changed. Sold off my system and moved full time into an RV to surf Baja.
Questions for the seller |
---|
what arm and cartridge do you use with the turntable? Hi,
Currently I have the SAEC 407/23 on it that I would sell for $750 with it. The low price is due to the fact that the previous owner used a vice type wrench on the base leaving some indentation marks on it. It does not effect sound or performance. The Origin Live Encounter that I bought it with was a nice match as well but the SAEC is magic combo. I have a Jeff Rowland Complement cartridge on it right now (Ikeda cantileverless design) that truly makes it all sound like a reference table.
Feel free to call as I could go on and on about this table. Thanks
Charlie
