Selling my Audible Illusions Modulus 3A with John Curl designed “gold” phono boards. This preamp is amazing. Many great reviews so I’ll keep it short and say just one thing about its sonics, you’d have to spend over $5k to come any where near this preamps sonics.
Operationally this pre is perfect. Cosmetics are are 6 or 7. No glaring faults but it obviously isn’t new. As for tubes, I have some Japanese made 7DJ8’s installed that sound great to me. They are a few years old but they seem like they have life left in them.
Lastly, Audible Illusions gives a very generous trade in allowance towards their new preamps if you are so inclined in the near future. They quoted me over $1500 as a trade in for this unit.
