Sony SCD-1 SACD Super Audio CD Player with VSE Mod Level 6 Plus in Box

I have a very nice working Sony SCD-1 SACD Player with Level 6+ VSE Mod
installed. VSE Mod Level 6+ cost about $1600 on it's own.

VSE
(Vacuum State Electronics) mod allows you can use it as a Standard
SCD-1 with regular RCA output jacks or VSE level output using dedicated
RCA output jacks installed by VSE. VSE L6+ mod is for the RCA output only.

VSE L6+ (Level 6 Plus) Mod adds a set or RCA output in addition to the factory RCA and XLR
outputs. The L6+ output is totally independent to the factory and it
includes a whole new set of circuitry of it's own. The original outputs are
untouched and unmodified. It's like a much better DAC has been added
inside the SCD-1. It sounds very good especially vocals. The cost of VSE
L6+ is about $1745 as you can see in the article.

This
is one of very best SACD player that weights nearly 60lbs. Everything
is a masterpiece and beautifully crafted. It's a shame that Sony newer
SACD player are not made to this level anymore!

Sony SCD-1 reads all the CD,
SACD I throw at it. The laser mechanism is recently lubed and ready to
go for a few years. I only used this 4-5 times a year due to I have much
more expensive SACD player at hands.

Please note that this SCD-1 player requires a few minutes warm up due to the VSE mod for the clock and extra circuitry if not used for a long time.

I only notice the warm up requirement if not used regularly. It may not properly read the Discs at first but it reads all the disc (CD and SACD) fine after 4-5 minutes warm up and it works fine the following days. It is not due to the Old Caps. The caps are good and working fine as well as everything else. It's just the VSE circuitry requiring some initial stabilization for the warmup after long storage.

It is original U.S 120V
unit that comes with the Original remote and the CD puck (called
stabilizer). It is a top loading unit! I also have the original box for
this SCD-1 player.
