Geddes Abbey

These speakers were built by Dr. Geddes. These speakers were sent to me unfinished as I was going to paint them a color to match my room, but I never had to paint them because they were behind a curtain. These speakers are designed to be pointed into the room at 45 degrees and listened to seated just beyond the traditional stereo triangle.These are the Abbey 12c (a). serial #32803140 and 32803141. They are about three years old. The speakers use a speakON lockable connector for the speaker cables, I am including in this sale 8 feet of Discovery Cable "Essential" speaker cable with the speakON connectors, These connectors are used in the PRO audio world. These speakers will ship in four boxes. The heavy woofer (26lbs) will be removed from the speaker and shipped separately. The box without the woofers weights 40 lbs...You must reassemble the speaker by removing the back plate which includes the crossover , connecting wires to compression driver and woofer which both have push connectors.. The whole process should take you 45 mintues if you have a battery powered driver. I have included the square bit necessary for all the screws, 21 screws per speakers, 13 in back panel, 8 for woofer. See www.gedlee.com  for more information, and I will be available to the purchaser to help with and installation questions.  One of the foam filter plugs has minor damage as a small amount of the foam has fallen away, I am not sure if you will be able to see this damage in the picture, it measures about 2 inchs long and 1/2 inch wide and about 3/8 inch deep. Its located at the bottom of the foam plug. You will need a sub woofer with these speakers, but they can reproduce the the illusion of live music better than any speaker I have ever heard...
