Advent 201 Dolby cassette deck

Advent 201 Dolby cassette deck. This was the first cassette deck to incorporate the Dolby noise reduction system. I have lovingly cared for this deck since I purchased it in the early 1970's. I has been cared for the way any legitimate audio guy takes care of his wonderful equipment/toys. I'm getting old and it's time to divest so my kids don't have to deal with my audio goodies when i croak. Still in excellent condition with some wear of the metallic-looking edge trim. Energizes perfectly the VU meter and its light bulb are still working. A low level noise emerges when the spindles are engaged.  Plinth is solid walnut and the authentic, original Advent dark, smoked bronze cover is included. In addition to the included original owner's manual I have also included the official Advent Service Manual, additional literature that accompanied the Advent as well as a 1982 Stereo Review article , "How to Care for a Tape Deck."   A wonderful gift to oneself, audiophile/tinkerer or vintage audio enthusiast.
