For sale is my favorite power amp, my Benchmark AHB2. This wonderful amp has been raved about by the major audio publications and is currently listed as a Stereophile Class A component. Condition is really a "9" physically, but I'm the second owner so I'm listing it as an "8" in order to comply with Audiogon's guidelines. These don't come up for sale too often.
I actually replaced a Hypex-based Class D amp (NAD M22) with this little guy and could not have been happier. It sounds better than any Class D implementation I've heard, with much better musicality, nuance and flow, while maintaining the efficiency and low heat output. It's barely warm to the touch even after hours of listening, and that's a necessity for someone like me who lives in the South! I was running this downstream from a tubed preamp and it was the best sounding setup I've heard, period.
I'm only selling this amp as I rarely get time to listen to my full setup, so I'm keeping my speakers but downsizing my component rack to a simple integrated amp.
Comes with original packaging, manual, power cord, etc.
Price includes PayPal fees. Buyer pays a $50 flat fee shipping to the lower 48. Willing to drive a reasonable distance from Atlanta, GA for a meetup if preferred.
