For sale is a very rare and one of the best sounding EL-34 amplifier ever made. Excellent cosmetic & operational condition. Only list 8/10 because of age, otherwise I think its 9/10.  I
am sure if you are reading this ad you know about this legendary amp! I
bought it brand new in the late 90s, and then had to work overseas till
about 2008. So it saw very little use. When I came back to States I invested heavily into amp upgrades  twice, by the ex Red Rose Music factory technician
in  the Washington State. During second tune up I had him install Cardas top
of the line pure copper speaker binding posts and Cardas copper/Rhodium
RCA jacks, along with almost all the current upgrades that made sense
sonically for this particular modification, so the amp is up to date.
Needless to say it sounds magnificent! It is able to drive my very
inefficient Eminent Technology 8bs to very loud levels and and the sound
is to die for! It equaled and in some ways was better than mine 17 grand reference 845 Mastersound Evolution, as well as other top of
the line amps. Its sound also bettered its cousin,  the $7000 Red Rose Musc Model 2, which sounded cooler, with less harmonic bloom and richness in the comparisons that I ve done within my system, couple of years ago....

The amp has been used sparingly in my second system and I
also invested heavily in buying an extremely rare pair of gain 12at7
tubes for it, namely the lab grade 7728 Golden Pin, Raytheon and
CBS&Hytron. These go for about $250 (EACH!) when you can find them.
These have a lifespan of at least 10 000 hours, and since mine sets have
about 1000-1200 hours of usage at most, so pretty much a new owner will
have at least 8 to 9 nine years out of them. I will also include a set
of 4 NOS BRIMAR British 12at7 input tubes. These are also very, very
good sounding and rare tubes. Also will include a pair of NOS HYTRON
(not gold pin) 12at7 with about 600 hours on them. A set of PSVANE
Philips EL-34 metal base re-issue, priced at $350. This set has about
400-500 hours of usage on them (may be less, but I am being very
conservative), although one of the tubes has central pin broken off,
(never allow "friends" to install new tubes!!!!) which does not in any
way affect it performance as the vacuum seal is still intact. The amp is
currently biased with this set. I will also include a quartet of
platinum matched set of Golden Lion KT 77, and these are excellent! They
have about 1200 hours on them, and have been very reliable.

Altogether about $1100 worth of tubes are included in the price!

The
amplifier was just given a check/tune-up by renowned tube tech Blackie
Pagano in NYC and is sounding fantastic (see video link). I prefer a
local sale but will ship as well, via Fedex Ground at cost. Figure
around $50-60 to most locations....Also I took the transformer cover
off, for sonic reasons, but will ship the cover as well of course! This
is a reference quality middle power range 35-to 45 watts amp that
equals, or betters ANY other amplifier (within its power range) on the market regardless of
price,  and since I  have invested about $1500 in its updates, my price is fair and firm... Prefer a check, but will consider
PayPal +3%.... Please see a  brief but detailed video demo of the unit:
