Comes with new stock tubes from Audeze, and new upgraded tubes (Value $200, very nice and refined tubes) which brings much better resolution than stock tubes. Both sets of tubes are broken in with moderate use. Amp faceplate shows normal wear and a couple of small faint scratches that are only invisible under bright light. Other than that, it performs flawlessly. I pair this with the Chord HUGO 2 (plus my Audeze LCD-4's), and the sound is phenomenal. Very dynamic, punchy and authoritative, while maintaining spaciousness and clean presentation. This is definitely the best overall headphone amp I've heard so far in my life. I will miss it. How old is it? This is not the MK 2 version. This unit is a couple years old. It's been moderately used. Sounds awesome. |
