Krell KAV-300i [Template]

I purchased the unit from consignment at House of Stereo (Jacksonville, Florida) and sent it to Krell Industries for service. I recently received it back from Orange, CT with capacitors and switches replaced.  You can verify this with the Krell Service Center – Serial #8796101481. I have personally tested the unit on all inputs, except the balanced and it performs as expected.  However, after living with it for a while, I am not satisfied with how it fits with the rest of my components and decided not to build a system around it. I am selling it to move in a different direction.

Performance Specifications

The Krell KAV-300i was well reviewed by Stereophile and was listed in Recommended Components. It offers 150 Wpc into 8 ohms (300 into 4) with a maximum voltage gain of 36.1dB, and peak current of 45A. It displays a -3dB bandwidth of nearly 90kHz (0.6Hz – 90kHz) while maintaining -110dB background noise compared to full power.  The unit offers 5 inputs (3 RCA, 1 balanced, and 1 tape loop), gold-plated inputs and outputs, and a preamplifier output.  It sports a classic Krell industrial aluminum alloy case and has a speaker-fault protection 12A fuse.  I am throwing in an aftermarket 15A/125V power cable and Audioquest speaker terminal wrench as well.

This unit comes with an aftermarket power cord, suitable packaging provided by Krell Service (S-300i box), the remote (not working), a manual, the Krell Service invoice pictured, and an Audioquest speaker terminal wrench.  Due to the recent service, I am selling the unit as is. The pictures show it in lesser condition than it actually appears.
