"Bream's recitals are wide-ranging, including transcriptions from the 17th century, many pieces by Bach arranged for guitar, popular Spanish pieces, and contemporary music, much for which he was the inspiration. He has stated that he has been influenced by the styles of Andrés Segovia and Francisco Tárrega.
Bream's playing can be characterised as virtuosic and highly expressive, with an eye for details, and with strong use of contrasting timbres." - Wikipedia

One of the greatest Guitarists of the 20th century. This German RCA/Teldec pressing captures Bream's tone , technique and style extremely accurately. Each individual note is clear and distinct, even when playing these contrapuntal works. Side 1 is excellent but side 2 is exceptional. You can even hear that the 1st movement (side 2) was recorded either on a different date or location from the rest of the suite.
Each record is washed on a VPI cleaning machine using a proprietary 3-5 agent process which is determined by the needs of the individual record. Each record is then listened to 100% to insure that the posted description is exactly what you can expect to get.
