Simaudio Moon P-7

This is a pristine Simaudio Moon Evolution P-7 preamp. Fully balanced, dual-mono with all the features you'd want out of a linestage. I am the second owner. It is in excellent physical and functional condition. The original owner had it for ~5 years before selling to me, and sent it to Simaudio for a check-up before the sale. According to him it came back with a clean bill of health, and it certainly shows.  

This is by far the best preamp I've owned, my history of which includes the PS Audio BHK preamp, Ayre K-5xeMP, and Pass Labs XP-10 among others. I love the sound signature, as it's incredibly revealing, smooth and dynamic without any glare, grain or harshness. It's neutral in absolute frequency response terms, but has a lovely golden quality to the mids that create an addictive listen. It also runs cool, and never even gets warm to the touch, which is a blessing down here in the South. I really don't want to sell it, but I'm looking to downgrade to something a bit less expensive. This is a perfect pairing with my PS Audio DirectStream DAC.

Includes original box, although it will be double boxed for protection as shown in the picture above, with additional padding between both boxes. Also includes remote, power cord and manual.

Paypal fees are included in my asking price, but shipping is a flat $80 to the Lower 48 as this is a big piece of equipment. I'm willing to ship to Canada, but buyer is responsible for actual shipping costs which is roughly $150 per UPS.
