Cary Audio SLP-98p Formula 1 Version w/Phono Stage

Up for grabs is a gorgeous Cary SLP-98 F1 full function tube preamp with built in tube Phono Stage (MM or HO MC).

This is the "Formula 1" (F1) version, with:

• Jensen
  oil/copper coupling caps
• Audio One output capacitors,
• Kimber Kable output
  wiring
• Hexfreds in the Power Supply.
  

This Class A Triode preamp has garnered many rave reviews, and the F1 version goes a step further in transparency, soundstaging, and realism. It is also very quiet, and the Phono stage compliments the pre's superb sound.

Comes with the following tubes:

• Matched pair EH 6SN7EH (buffer)
  
• Matched Pair Vintage Sylvania 6SN7 (line stage)
• Two Vintage CONN 12AU7 (Phono buffer)
• Two Vintage Mullard 12AX7 (Phono section)
  

This pre is a tube rollers dream!

There are individual Input Level controls for L&R channels, and a Master Volume that is microprocessor remote controlled. There are two sets of outputs, and a tape monitor section as well.

The SLP-98 uses an external power supply and enclosure  (similar to the next level up SLP-05) to keep any high voltage electrical noise away from
the circuits that handle the delicate musical reproduction. The external Power Supply is included, of course, as is its own Cary umbilical cord.

Includes original boxes, packing, Cary remote, and owner's manual. I'll ship the tubes separately as well, just to be sure.

The F1 is fully operational. The finish (in Jaguar Carnival Red with black anodized faceplate) is in great condition and is absolutely gorgeous. (See my other ad for the matching Cary V12i Amplifier).
