Selling my Audio Physic Virgo Vs because I've just upgraded to far more expensive speakers. These were the models released after the original Virgo III, and prior to the Virgo 25, and were the first Virgos to use both the HHCT tweeter and HHCM midrange, and the first to feature AP's now signature swept back cabinet design. They were a huge improvement over the old Virgo III (which is completely different than the brand new Virgo 3. Confusing, I know.)
They measure a very reasonable 39" H x 9" W x 16" D with the spikes adding a bit more height, and weigh in around 60lbs. Impedance is a stable 4Ohms with 89dB sensitivity, and they mate well with even modest power amps (AP recommends 30-180W).
The speakers sound wonderful, with sweet and detailed treble, warm midrange, and a surprising amount of punch considering there's just two 7" woofers in each. The cabinets are in excellent shape with just some very light marks around the top sides which are only visible under direct lights. There are no dents, scratches, or chips. The original spikes are included for use on carpets. For bare floors you would need to purchase protective discs to put under the spikes. I've been using them on pads on my bare floors, which I can include free of charge if desired. I have the cloth covers and shipping inserts for them, but not the original boxes. I will have them professionally boxed and shipped to insure their safe arrival.

Questions for the seller |
---|
How long have you owned these speakers? They appear to be birds-eye maple, is that correct? Lastly, I have a 35 watt tubed integrated amp, will that be enough to power them. I bought them last February. The finish I believe is called natural cherry. The birds-eye maple is a much lighter, almost blonde color. As long as your amp is comfortable with 4 Ohm speakers I think you should be fine. |
