Cary Audio V12i UL/Triode Tube Amp

Up for grabs is a Cary Audio 280 SA "V12i" All-tube Power Amplifier.

This is the V12i version with the 6922 input tubes, considered the "best" sounding version. All-tube glory with enough power to drive most any speakers to very satisfying levels, bloom and soundstage that goes on for days, yet with plenty of detail and slam...this is a great amp! Switchable operation between Ultralinear and Triode operation, even on the fly, gives you even more flexibility to tailor the sound to your room, mood, music, and power needs.

This Push-Pull Ultralinear Amplifier operates in Pure Class A, and delivers 50 WPC in Triode mode, and 100 WPC in Ultralinear mode.
Comes with a full matched set of 12 Mullard EL-34s (from Tube Depot) with perhaps 200 hours, a really nice pair of Sovtek EL 84s, and a killer pair of Matsushitas in the 6922 slots. This amp is a tube rollers dream, as it takes most any power tubes (although I personally liked the EL34s best).

Able to be modified for monoblock use as well, if you're so inclined.

Uses  "good health" top panel LEDs to display operating results for each individual output tube. The robust speaker connections include 4 or 8 ohm taps. Bias is set with back panel screws.

Also comes with bonus Synergistic Research Red Fuses in the 3 critical spots - the two Tube Fuses and the main AC Fuse.

Decked out in gorgeous Jaguar Carnival Red chassis with a black faceplate, this is one seriously good looking amplifier. There are a few minor scrapes and one minor dent on the rear panel, only visible from the rear, the front panel and top are otherwise in great condition.

I will also include the optional (and rare/hard to find) tube cage, an expensive option, which will ship separately. I never used it, and you are on your own for screws as it did not come with them. I'm sure Cary will guide you top the correct size, or may even send you them. I'll ship the tubes separately as
well, just to be sure.
