Having lusted after this model of amp ever since I purchased (and later sold) a new MV45a-1 many years ago, I recently came across a nice pair of these and bought them immediately. My asking price represents just what I paid for it. I purchased it from the original owner and have the box and copy of the manual. To my surprise, these amps hold their own against newer amps and are a pleasure to listen to. It has a few scratches and some faint magic marker ink on the rear (I believe he had the dealer mark where he was to hook up the speaker cables for mono operation). I put in a new power switch which I purchased from Conrad Johnson. The bias light for tube V7 is a bit faint, but you can still use it as designed to set the bias. I have put at least 10 hours on this amp with nary a hiccup. And did I mention how great it sounds? Makes one question what amp designers have learned in the past 40 years. As I write this I am listening to this amp's twin thru my pair of Spatial Audio 3 Triode Masters and the room is rockin'. Price is firm - if still unsold after a couple of weeks I may reconsider.
