This 100th Anniversary player is a statement piece from Denon, and one of their best built and best sounding SACD / CD player / DAC they've ever made. Uses 32-bit AKM DAC chipset considered one of the best chipsets at any price, combined with Denon's 32-bit AL32 processing, and ruggedly built 33 lb. chassis with multiple isolated power supplies and shielding to ensure signal purity. Not many professional reviews out there on it, making it a hidden gem. But do a search of audio forum discussions, and you'll find lots of very positive feedback comparing it favorably to DACs and disc players in the $5k - 10k price range.
I purchased this from the original owner earlier this year, and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I compared it directly to the Benchmark DAC3, and found it gave up nothing in resolution to the Benchmark, yet sounded more liquid and involving. Function is perfect, and cosmetics are near perfect. There's a light scratch on the top of the unit about 2 inches long, but only visible in bright lighting from a low angle (shown in one of the pictures). Otherwise, would be 9/10 condition. Very clean unit never exposed to tobacco or dusty environment, and all connectors clean and tight.
Includes metal remote, original box, manual (printed from PDF file), stock power cord and interconnects. I will ship in a padded double box for extra protection. Please contact me with any questions, and am willing to consider reasonable offers.
