Includes all original tubes plus a pair of NOS Sylvania 6SN7 GTA. Very nice shape... it is a gloss black finish, so upon close inspection you may see light swirling on finish in places. Even with stock tubes, this unit sounds fantastic, but the old Sylvania tubes made a nice difference (especially on the top end). But I have decided to keep my existing tube preamp + SS amp combo, so this guy needs a good home. Very powerful amplifier with tight & articulate bass. It simply laughed at my efficient Tekton speakers. It is a pretty large box and heavy (just over 100 lbs).

I just mean that the load that my Tekton speakers present to the amplifier was tiny. I have driven these speakers to quite loud & satisfying levels with a 1-watt SET tube amplifier. But, when you really want to boogie with some complex & dynamic music - this amplifier will provide a full, detailed sound to very load levels and tight, articulate bass. |
